Shows Available

The following shows are available for booking, with custom shows always an option. All shows are 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Miss Maggie Sings! is available for elementary schools, pre-schools, libraries, community events and private parties.

Bam! Pow! Read! Be A Hero With Me

Join Peggy Gernerd as Miss Maggie Sings! as she presents her eleventh public library summer reading program for the “Every Hero Has A Story” 2015 theme.

In this “educational and fun” show Miss Maggie explores all things hero: super heroes, heroes in literature, the media, in our own lives and most importantly, the hero inside each of us. The program emphasizes being helpful & kind to others and striving to become heroes to others.

Miss Maggie has included material from previous shows: “Mrs. Nutritious”her very own “super” hero from the show/cd “Stay Healthy With Miss Maggie” & Spaghetti Head Fred (“Be My Hero”); “Sherlock’s Younger Brother” & “Step Inside” are also presented.

New songs included: “What Is Your Superpower?”; “Being You, Being Me”; “Don’t Get Your Drawers In An Uproar” & “Everyday Heroes”.

Miss Maggie also incorporates movement and exercises with stretching, action verse & “The Super Hero Shake”.

Happy Healthy Heroes

Miss Maggie Sings! has combined material from “Stay Healthy With Miss Maggie” (program & CD) with material from her new summer reading program “Bam! Pow! Read! Be A Hero With Me” to help children and their families celebrate taking care of our bodies, our minds and each other. It is a great offering for any gathering of children, families, teachers and community.

Happy Holidays With Miss Maggie!

Miss Maggie Sings! presents a holiday themed program for all of your events. She is joined by puppet, Spaghetti Head Fred & she sings some of your favorite holiday songs. The show was originally performed at Berks Co. Parks & Recreation’s annual “Holiday Lights at Gring’s Mill” in Wyomissing.

Science & Discovery (Def. of science, the scientific method w/Professor Hootenstein (little puppet) & "The Hippopotamus Hypothesis" (song with Hippo & Bird puppets)

Madame Curie (Why do scientists do what they do? Bio, Facts & Quotes by Madame Curie; "I Love Science In the Springtime" (song); "Marie Curie" (ukelele song)

Molecules & Atoms (French Speaking Mole Puppet: Mol-e-cule: "Everything is Made Up of Atoms; "Snowflakes" (short story excerpt) into "You Are Like A Snowflake" (song guitar)

Energy & Recycling (What is energy?); Exercise/Song: "Ram Sam Dance"; Energy Conservation (Henry O' Energy, puppet): "I'm Turning Green" (song); "Recycle Song" & "Renewable Energy" (song with guitar)

Electricity Grand finale!


Written and performed for the Lancaster Public Library System through a grant from the PNC Foundation to teach pre-k children about money.

Songs: "Pennies and Quarters", "Let's Share!", "The Twelve Song", "I'm Gonna Open Up A Bank Account", "Save Your Pennies For A Rainy Day" and well- known children's sing-a-longs.

Written and performed for the 2012 Library Summer Reading Program. Come and explore the world of the imagination and dreams with Miss Maggie Sings!

New songs: “Dream Around”, “Luna The Moona”, “Dream Big, Read!”, “Maggie & Riley”, “Watching The World Go By”. Puppets: Nandi, Peter Pan & Wendy. Native American and Asian Stories about the moon.


Miss Maggie’s 2011 Library Summer Reading Show which features songs, poems and stories from around the world. Two new puppets are featured: Outback Jack (Australia) and Nandi (Africa).

Miss Maggie performed this show for the Lancaster Public Library system and other libraries in Berks & Lebanon Counties and at pre-schools, summer camps and community events through out the area.


Written and performed for the Pennsylvania Renewable Energy Festival 2009. Topics include recycling, renewable energy, taking care of plants and animals.
